FAQ

How are items shipped?

We ship all high-end items using USPS Express Mail shipping. Purchases will be shipped within 24 hours unless paid for on a Sunday, Monday or holiday. In that case, there will be a 1-2 day handling period. Items will arrive within 1-2 days of shipment based on your location. Signature confirmation is added to almost all of our packages unless requested otherwise, so your item will need to be signed for upon receipt.

  

Do you offer a warranty?

All watches are in good running order unless noted and come with a 90-day warranty as long as no abuse or water damage has occurred. This warranty is to cover the proper mechanical operation and functions of our watches, including reasonably good time keeping. Misuse and abuse includes dropping the watch, submerging the watch in any substance and more than usual wear and tear. If the watch has been found to be opened or tampered with, the mechanical warranty becomes null and void and the watch is not returnable nor will any refund be issued.

 

Do you offer returns?

We offer a three day return policy as long as the item is returned in exact condition. If a longer period is needed we are flexible. All returns and exchanges must be accompanied by the original bill or sales receipt. The buyer is responsible for paying return shipping. 

 

Do you charge sales tax? 

Our retail sales tax in West Seattle is 10.1%.  The 10.1% sales tax rate is collected and then distributed as follows: 

6.5% goes to the state of Washington. 3.6% goes to the City of Seattle. These rates add up to the 10.1% combined rate for the city of Seattle.

 

Do you buy jewelry and watches?

Depends on the piece, feel free to drop by and we will take a look at what you have. We buy watches, jewelry, gold, silver, and loose stones.

 

Do you change watch batteries?

Yes, it only takes about 5 minutes so feel free to explore our shop while you wait.

 

Do you do repairs?

Yes, our Master Jeweler and Master Watchmaker can repair and restore your favorite pieces.  

 

Do you make custom jewelry?

Yes, our Master Jeweler can design and make whatever custom work you'd like.

 

When are you open?

We are opened Tuesday-Friday 11:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 11:00am-4:30pm, and we are closed Sunday and Monday

WJC will follow guidelines set, by community during this trying time.  We will do our best to sanitize after customers, and all jewelry before, and after repairs. We are limiting to 3 clients at a time in shop, so Please be patient outside. We will be with you as fast as possible. We will not be stringing items, due to difficulty sanitizing, and no insurance appraisals. The jeweler owner, due to health concerns, must stay home until this takes it's course. As many know, Gilbert suffers from a rare disease Systemic Mastocytosis that he struggles with daily. He will keep getting your jewelry repairs done in the after hours, by the date promised.
